Some Summer Summary

Summer Summary
In July, over 420 children took part in Grades 1-9 Summer School and Summer Camp for grades 1-6. More than 4800 students attended Summer High School and Summer Off-Campus programs for grades 10-12. The Calgary Regional Summer Band Workshop, marking its 30th Anniversary, was a huge success with 114 young musicians enrolled. If your child attended one of these Summer School classes, we hope they enjoyed and benefited from the experience.

Is your son or daughter feeling daunted by the return to school? Continuing Education can make the transition back to school easier by helping students maximize their potential.

Gifted ProgramsNew - Gifted Programs

Due to the positive response of our gifted summer programs Continuing Education is continuing Gifted Programing for the fall. These classes are specifically developed for students who have been identified as gifted and/or may be eligible for identification as gifted in the future.

Look for our complete fall program guide in schools, on newsstands, on our website or as a pull out section in our adult course guide. We also have over 80 New Courses for Adults and Child, Youth & Family.

Language for Parents
Chinook Learning Services offers Language for Parents courses for parents of French Immersion and Spanish Bilingual students. These courses assist parents in developing some basic conversational skills. For more detailed information please check our website or phone 430-777-7575 Ext. 2504 to see if we are offering a course at the school your child attends.

Students in Grade 10-12 are now able to participate in a selection of  courses from our Adult programs in art & music, computer training, do-it-yourself, finance, health & wellness, languages, passions & pastimes and writing:
