Rhythmic Gymnastics CampThe Winnipeg River Recreation District has added another fun camp to its summer line up! We will be holding a Rhythmic Gymnastics camp July 24-28, 2006 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Pinawa Community Centre, for girls ages 7-11. Learn basic rope, ball and hoop skills from a former member of the Canadian National team. Space is limited. For more information contact the Rec office. Physical Arts Training CampEarly Bird registration for PhAT Camp is June 9 and after that the price goes up – so hurry now and register your Super Hero!Super heroes are signing up in record numbers! Some of the classes are full (Cheer, Gymnastics, stage combat and improv) but there is still plenty of great classes to hone your super hero skills! Call the Rec office to register.
Red Cross Swim Kids ProgramAt the Lac du Bonnet Town DockWe are now taking registration for the 2006 Swim Program. The first session is: July 3-14 , second session July 17-28 and the third session is July 31 – August 11. Registration forms available at the Rec office.
2nd Annual Karate CampThis camp runs August 14-18 at Centennial School in Lac du Bonnet. Run the gauntlet, break boards and learn judo rolls. New at the camp this year is stick fighting. Space is limited so don't wait to get your registration in.
Agassiz Junior Garden ClubKid's love to grow things and that's what the Agassiz Junior Garden club is all about. Children ages 6 and up grow a kid sized garden and participate in garden related Projects, outings and the flower show. Meetings are monthly during the growing season and membership is free. To join the club call Carol at 345 8419.
KidSport™ is a children's charity. KidSport™ assists children by overcoming financial barriers, which prevent or limit their participation in organized sport. Qualifying families with children aged 5 to 17 are eligible up to a maximum of $200.00 in a calendar year per child. Sport activities must be affiliated with organizations recognized by Sport Manitoba. There are two application deadlines; April 30th and October 15th . TBALL AND SOCCEROur Spring session of Tball and Soccer is drawing to a close. A huge Thank You to our volunteer Tball coach Barb Grawberger and Soccer coaches Brent Stokes and Viv Hayter for doing an outstanding Job! And, thanks to the participants for taking part in this community program.

Learn to swim at the LdB Town Dock with our Red Cross swim program. The first session is: July 3-14 , second session July 17-28 and the third session is July 31 – August 11. Published June 28, 2006 TOWN DOCK TALKThe Lac du Bonnet Lifeguards are back for another season at the Town Dock. This year's lifeguards include 3 returning guards - Lacie Johnson, Meaghan Slimmon, Kurtis Ulrich and 2 new additions - Tannis Karklin and Alanna Klassen. Their first day of work was June 26 and they will be on until the end of August from 10am to 7pm daily. The lifeguards want to ensure everyone has a fun and safe time at the beach, that being said, they would like everyone to look at the new beach rules sign when they first come down so that they can become acquainted with them.
