New Scholarship Provides Unique Opportunity!
Andrew Kaplan is the recipient of the inaugural Grosberg Family Judaic Studies/Hebrew Teachers' Award. Andrew graduated from Joseph Wolinsky Collegiate and the University of Manitoba, and is currently teaching at the Gray Academy of Jewish Education. With this Award, Andrew will be pursuing a Masters Degree in Education. A Sense of Obligation
What 26 year old Jason Gisser has had to endure is certainly not ordinary, and how he has responded has been nothing short of extraordinary. In 2003, Jason was diagnosed with "Ameloblastoma", a very rare benign oral tumor. As a past recipient of the JFM "Ruth and Joe Freed Academic Excellence Award", Jason was well aware of the Jewish Foundation's reputation and ability to administer endowment funds. Upon being called to the Bar, Jason opened his own fund and asked family and friends to make a donation to his fund in lieu of gifts. Read more...

JFM Funds "Youth in Philanthropy" Program
This year, Gray Academy students, through the Youth in Philanthropy program funded by the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba, selected six local charitable organizations to support as grant recipients. This program allows the students to understand the importance of giving back to their community and making wise, informed philanthropic decisions. Read more...
