Special
thanks go out to Mme Pattison, Mme Vermette and
Mme Archer. They prepared the two rock gardens
at the front of the school so that Mme Regnier's
kindergarten Classes could plant beautiful flowers.

Message
from Administration

It's
June! Where did the year go? We are in the
fortunate position of not having to ask this question
as we have enjoyed a wonderful school year and
are, in fact, quite proud of the accomplishments
of our students and staff.

Reaching
for the Stars . . .
The
Firefighters from Station 22 came to visit the kindegarten
classes. They discussed their work and fire
prevention. One of the main highlights was
the aerial ladder going up as though reaching for
the stars.

Smile...You
are on VW'S Security Camera
We
are moving ahead with plans to install security
cameras at entrances and on the bike rack areas.
Although security cameras are common in high schools
in Winnipeg, they are rare in elementary schools.
In light of recent events, we feel they are necessary
part of our student safety plan.

JUNE
2007! It is hard to believe that we are in the last
month of the 2007-2008 school year. It has
been such a pleasure being a part of the Van Walleghem
community. Being my first year at this school,
I have found the students, staff and parents to
be truly welcoming. I look forward to doing
more together in the coming year.
