Editor's Note:
Here we are again at the end of another month. Time just flies by. For this month we have news galore and much excitement! I know you folks out there were just to timid to hazard a guess to the Mysteries of March but Linda has the answers in this month's issue. A new April Fool's column also by Linda may be even more challenging although we have made the photos larger, so don't be afraid, enter your thoughts!
Marsha Sheppard gives us an update on the Age Friendly Committee and a new service in Pinawa. Business Buzz features the Pinawa Motor Inn and Capturing Opportunities announces the Pinawa Housing Corporation's great honour of receiving an award. CF Winnipeg River is pleased to offer free business seminars for the month of May. We also have more News Releases: one from north of us about a new Apprenticeship Program at the Winnipeg River Learning Centre, Old Pinawa gets larger, and Province waived park entry fees.
Linda Huisman has written a moving article on our animal relations. If you value your four-legged children her article will make you pause and reflect on what is special in your life. Stan, our resident professional fishing guide is back with his second series of tips and a game plan to fishing.
If you want more activities then check out Rec Rap, the KOM program, NEHA senior activities, what happened at Jam Can, and the Batty Night at the Library. Peter Taylor has more activities in his column besides his wonderful photographs.
Want to know what is the latest especially after the Pinawa CDC Annual General Meeting? Then check out Nancy's Notes. Nancy's Notes also gives you a link to help the children make some great gifts for Mother's Day and don't forget tips on gardening.
To all our faithful subscribers out there I want to say thanks for being part of Pinawa and for all your interest and comments. Just to let you know I am off on a holiday and so there won't be a May newsletter this year. I and all the contributors to this newsletter promise an extra large one for June. Until then take care, have a care, and be caring. ~ Nancy
