InkBank

Recycle
your empty inkjet and laser cartridges
to
help us earn money!
The
Selkirk & District Community Learning Centre have enrolled
in a wonderful new fundraising program called InkBank Cartridge
Recycling. This program offers us an almost effortless
way to raise money to support our projects - and to protect
our planet. We earn money simply by recycling used printer,
fax and copier cartridges that were destined for the trash.
Here's
How You Can Help:
- Save
your inkjet or laser cartridges you use at home, workplace
or business.
- Ask
friends, family, employers to help support our fundraising
efforts.
- Collect
only eligible cartridges.
- Drop
off the empty cartridges to the Selkirk Learning Centre
or call to arrange for pick up (204) 482-2111.
- NOTE:
Previously recycled or remanufactured cartridges cannot
be accepted.

Power
Up your skills
Power
Up teaches Manitoba women the basics of using a computer.
From turning the machine on to typing a word document to accessing
the Internet. Your Power Up instructor will take you through
it so you can understand how to make the computer work for
you.
Power
Up for opportunity
It
is estimated that at least basic computer skills are needed
in two-thirds of jobs in Manitoba - twice as many as 10 years
ago. If you want to try something new - perhaps a job with
more challenge, better pay or more responsibility - the skills
you learn in Power Up can increase the opportunities available
to you, and help you reach your goals.
Power
Up for options
The
Power Up course will leave you feeling more confident using
a computer. You may even feel inspired to continue on to take
more advanced courses. Regardless of your goals or ambitions,
you will be more self-assured and comfortable with technology.
In short, you will be "powered up" with more knowledge,
information and options.
For
more information or to sign up for the computer course call
482-2111, or email reception@mts.net.
