About
the Centre:
The
Selkirk & District Community Learning Centre is a centralized
learning complex offering access to several employment programs,
computer training, high school upgrading, and post secondary
education. The Learning Centre addresses the education
and training needs of people and organizations in Selkirk
and the surrounding municipalities.
This

Programs
of the Centre:
Here
are the Programs of the Selkirk & District
Learning Centre:
JobQuest-Career Services - is a program designed
to provide unemployed or underemployed individuals with the
essential tools to gain meaningful employment. Job Quest
provides free workshops on resume writing, interview skills,
career planning and job search techniques. Click here

A.I.M.
for Work
- is a unique action-oriented community-based program for
persons with physical disabilities. The services are
provided free to individuals who have a chronic illness or
physical disability. Click here

Interlake
Employment Services (I.E.S.)
- provides a wide variety of employment services that include;
job development, onsite training, and follow-up services for
individuals living with developmental, learning, or psychological
disabilities. For more information on the program click

Lord
Selkirk Learning Centre
- provides an adult learning environment with scheduled classroom
instruction for Math, English, and some Science courses.
the Lord Selkirk Learning Centre offers most core high school
credits for grades nine through 12 (senior 1 to senior 4).

CAP
Program:
The
CAP (Community Access Program) is a Government of Canada initiative,
administered by Industry Canada, which aims to provide Canadians
with affordable public access to the Internet and the skills
they need to use it effectively. It helps you to take
advantage of emerging opportunities in the new global knowledge
based ecomnomy.
The Selkirk & District Community Learning Centre’s
CAP Program, provides free public access to the Internet,
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Staff is on hand
to assist and supervise the CAP site.

Services
of the Centre:
The
Selkirk Learning Centre have private rooms which are furnished
for classroom use. We can accommodate up to 40 people.
The
private rooms are ideal for: seminars, training workshops,
off-site meetings, strategic planning, service group gatherings.
The
Selkirk & District Learning Centre's Rooms are available
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. Evening and weekend
rates are available.
